Some days are hectic and tiresome, demanding a high level of effort and hard work from you. And you find yourself struggling and may be achieving nothing significant at this moment. But after enduring the pain during long working weeks when you are relaxing your physical and mental muscles at home now, you look back at those tiresome days again.
Your routine life makes you just crazy and you start looking for a break. For me, visiting my hometown and spending time at home is a perfect break. And I took this break in last week of March for a week of vacation in Varanasi, which met an end on last day of that month.
It turns out to be an awesome feeling when after so many days which you have spent as routine lifestyle, you come across a moment that was all set to provide you with some new gusto. Similar kind of feeling I came across on a day in mid this month, a day that can be called a well-spent one.
Every story doesn’t have to have a perfect ending. Even many stories don’t need an end itself. Without an end, they give an ideal message to their readers. Don’t they? If they don’t, still they give their readers a scope to conceive their own messages, put their own point of view and make their own ending of the story. Some stories meant to be incomplete, unfinished.
Results may be awaited yet or may be you have had them not at par with your expectations but what’s important is the processes you went through, the experiences you got and the moments you lived. With same feeling for me and for many other dreamers like me, the year 2012 has concluded.
Many times, people’s thinking about you, their opinions about your life and their interference in your personal matters, put extremely adverse impact on your physical and mental health. Your self-esteem goes downwards drastically and you find yourself almost worthless in your own eyes.
It’s true. It’s false. This is right. That is wrong. Wow…good. Damn…bad. Have you set your life and world within the boundaries of these few words and phrases like true, false, right, wrong, good, bad? Have you conditioned your mind in this way? Then this is for you.
Many times in life you find yourself caught up by several confusions, and don’t know which way to be taken to reach your desired destination. These are the times when the life comes up with a host of such challenges which have the capabilities to make you or break you.
It was a hard nut to crack but as I became tougher and tougher on it, it became softer and softer with me. It always had been difficult when you were easy but once you happen to become tough, it turned out to be easy. It’s your life.
Is life really difficult for creatures like us? Is it the most complicate puzzle of the universe? Or is it like a situation that is very complex? I tell you life is very simple. If there is someone who makes your life a complicate task is you yourself, and nobody else. We get life in its simplest form and put all the efforts to complicate it.
This time I took a four-month break from writing a blogpost. There were lots of episodes I could have penned during this period but they were so small and somehow I didn’t want to ink them before coming to a conclusion. I have concluded some of those chapters.
You see your problem is a big one and it is getting bigger with time. You want to escape it by whatever possible way you can. No such ways seem to be visible which can take you out from your problem. What will you do now? I tell you, you have the best possible way out right now – a solution that you are not willing look up to.
Does a problem come to stay or go away? Does every problem have a solution? How and when solution makes its way? And can a problem exist once the solution takes over the stage? The answer is – a problem cannot last because every problem has a solution.
Love cannot be scaled, whether it’s mine, yours or anybody else’s. It possesses an infinite existence, with neither a start, nor an end. How can you scale your love for them? How can you compare their love with yours? What is the meter to scale the love in the world? What is the method or formula to calculate love in a life?
We really want to do something that means to be a passion of life. May be it’s a creative task, sports, business, politics, motivational or inspirational speaking or a study. But we hesitate of doing it and never pursue it, sometimes not even in a whole life. Why? We seek perfection but are not trying because we don’t want to look novice.
You have your big dream. You have to make it a reality. You do all the efforts to achieve it. You endure all the pain and struggle of life for your dream. And one day…finally one day, you achieve it. But what after that? Do you feel you are on the top now? Are you too satisfied with your life’s success? Do you have nothing to do next? Are you done? It may be.
I have a goal. I have to run. Track is mine. Race is mine. I have to achieve my goal. I have to break the records, my own past records. I have no time to check my competitor’s progress. I even don’t know who my competitor is. When you are running on the track, your mind, eyes and body are targeting the goal that you have to achieve before anybody else touches it.
What is dream? A dream is a mix of thoughts, images and inspirations which find space in your sub-conscious mind. The visualization of those mixes of thoughts and past or present realities in an interlinked episode in your mind while you sleep is called dream.
Do you find yourself saying yes for every demand whether it is valid or not, without considering its right and wrong aspects? The demand could be from your friends, family members, neighbors, bosses, clients, business partners or other stakeholders. If yes, this is for you.
If I set my goal and start my race, I must be sure that I am not the only one seeking that target. There are many who are looking to achieve similar goals as me at the same time. I am not the only one on the race track. There is a huge possibility that when an idea came into my mind, many others may have already started working on it.
It’s not just about me. It’s about anyone who claims that they want to change the world. And it’s about those who boast of not going to change with the world. Yes. You got it right. I was born to change the world and not to change with the world. When I say that, here arises a question – what change can I do to the world?
Sometimes when you feel things are not going according to your plans, that doesn’t reflect that you fail in your planning aptitude but it just asks you to place some adjustments in your plans. Why don’t you think about placing adjustments and readjustments in your plans instead of replacing them altogether?
Billions of human beings living on the earth must be different from each other in a number of aspects. And how would not they be? They all are born in different environments, survived in different atmospheres, having different socio-economic backgrounds, even lived different lives.
With all the newness in thoughts in this very new year, I was all prepared to follow some new paths from the very beginning of January month. Having celebrated the New Year 2012 with my friends in Delhi, soon I headed towards Varanasi. I needed some rest at home before I came back in Delhi to explore new career opportunities.
The New Year comes with all the newness in all respects – from the movement of the clock to the changing of calendar – but what is actually new about a new year. Is it the time and date? Yes definitely. But what else is new? Are the air, water, atmosphere, environment, world, earth and universe all new in a new year?
Once someone asked me an extremely puzzling question – What would have I done if I had been the Prime Minister of India for a day? If I were the Prime Minister for a day, how interesting it sounds. Isn’t it? But how difficult it is to think about and how challenging it would be been if it becomes a reality. India is one of the fastest growing countries in the world.
Sometimes I think what was the most thrilling wish for me, when I was a kid? Simply, I was waiting to grow up. Growing up was the best thing I could imagine.I never knew what the struggles of life were all about.As other child, I also used to think growing up is more fun, having its own advantages.
I knew that already, this month will be a comparatively small month for me in terms of work as I was set to visit Varanasi, my home town, at the beginning of the last week. As always, I was excited to come here but at the same time I was tired of my routine life in the national capital.
Lamhi, the village which became the witness of the birth of legendary Hindi author Munsi Prem Chand. The village looks just like an ordinary Indian village but became extraordinary due to the name of Premchand who was born here on 31st July, 1880. He died in 1936 and his wife lived here till her death in 1976.

A team of students from Archaeology Department, Banaras Hindu University (BHU), is excavating in Akatha village, near Paharia, Varanasi to find out its probable connection with Sarnath. The team has been excavating in this village for a few days now.
It was a pretty cold day when we were roaming near the confluence of river Ganga and Varuna in the holy city of Varanasi. We spent a day in Sarnath. One of the major attractions of the place, a Buddha temple is situated just a stone throw from the first crossing of Sarnath.

The Manmandir Observatory, situated at Manmandir Ghat of the river Ganga in Varanasi, looks as big and old as the other structures of the ancient Varanasi. This observatory was constructed by the remarkable monarch of Jaipur Maharaja Sewai Jai Singh.

Mall culture paints new portrait of new age changing Varanasi. Big and attractive malls are seeping through the city by leaps and bounds. Youth of the city is so captivated by the mall phenomenon that they don’t find any other place most suitable to hang out.
Here is ‘Life ka Mantra’, ‘It’s Hot’, ‘Jhoomo Jam ke Jhoomo’! Youth of the city is almost mad about these slogans. A number of boys and girls can be seen putting on earphones into their ear, while driving vehicle, walking on foot, chatting with friends in parks or cafes, strolling through the malls, working on desks or studying in libraries or even in classrooms.
I have never wanted to do long gaps between two blogposts since I started writing my blog. I always tried to write at least one blogpost a month and continue to do it today too. I wrote my last blog in the end March and now am writing this one in the end April after a month.
After entire day of working in office, it was the time to pick up our luggage and leave the office as the bus had arrived outside. Close to the office, where buses were waiting, was a South Indian restaurant, a good one, where we were taken to have our dinner.
The award for ‘the most refreshing experience of the month’ goes to ‘Convocation 2011’ of the Banaras Hindu University (BHU). Convocation invitation came this month and took us far from the hectic daily schedule of our professional life. Having been invited from BHU to attend convocation 2011, we started to arrange everything for that.
Varanasi, popularly known as Banaras, is considered as one of the ancient cities in the world. The mesmerizing city is situated on the bank of river Ganga in North India. Comprising of 84 ghats and innumerable temples, this city is known for its religiosity, culture and diversity.

The first month of every year starts with a newness and a freshness in your ideas but as the time passes, you feel that the new and the fresh is only the calendar of new month, other things are as usual as they were a few days back. If you analyze the first month of the year 2011, for an instance, you will feel the depth of the words said above.
The 1st year of the second decade of the 21st century is leaving the center-stage of the great time. The last page of calendar 2010 will be removed after a few more movements of two hands take place in the clockwise direction. At this moment what is occupying my mind are the thoughts of innumerable moments and unforgettable memories.
It’s all about choosing the right path in life. A thought that often stresses me out is, if I am moving in the right direction. As soon as this question arises, life appears to present an appropriate answer. Yes, that’s true. You keep being tensed in questions like what is going to happen, where we are up to, when will this all be done?
I believe in opened-eye dreams and closed-eye realities. I have seen a dream and I am very serious about getting it realized. Its realization is on the way. I am not sure if it is the right direction that I have obtained for my mission. The direction of the way towards your dream is often guided by the reality. So, my dream also is moving towards the direction navigated by reality.
How tough it would be to stay apart from your home town, you never know in the earlier days of living at a new place. Because in those earlier days you are happy with viewing the new sights, meeting new, not really new, people and taking new experiences. The situations you have been put in are also new.
I know, a long-long time it takes to get everything on boat when you are at a new place. But anxiety to have them sorted out soon, remains with you all the while since the beginning. Still a relief is that a beginning has been made at least though in a slow motion.
A big dream cannot materialize in a sudden or overnight. A big dream can materialize only when a set number of phases are crossed upon and after years of efforts. While some of such phases are related to my study days, many are those will be acquainted with me in my career.
You have little time to see people, you have little time to talk with them, you have no time to think even about yourself, because all the while you have to move, move and move. You are at work, day and night, 24/7. You are in the national capital – Delhi. This is the ‘moving-sketch’ of a metropolitan city. Lifestyle in the capital of India largely differs from the lifestyle in the capital of knowledge.
After the completion of my tenure as a student of department of Journalism and mass Communication on 30th April, 2010, one thing was sure; my dream was going to take me somewhere else from the city where I had been since birth. I always believed in opened eye dreams and closed eye reality.
That was the first celebration us as students of the department of Journalism and Mass communication. Seniors organized fresher party for us when we were the newcomers in the department and some of us were new even for BHU. This can be seen as the starting point of our journey with BHU.
It’s hardly a month ago when I was really concerned about how all the assignments and presentations would be done in that tiny-mini period of time. Nevertheless, I was sure that I would be able to do it all in time but until and unless I got everything done, my anxiety was inevitable. And now when all that has been done in time, I am feeling much relaxed.
These were the days when I first experienced the entire structure of the organizations related to the field I sought my career in. These were the days when I first observed the ins and outs of the work culture of those organizations. These were the days when I first became the part of those organizations. In short, My internship days.
Work, work, and work… This is the time when we are quite busy in many a things which are to be completed before we leave the department. Course is to be completed with all the assignments submitted, all the presentations made and all the examinations, internal or external, taken till the last day of April.
It was a long break from blogging but I m back. Well, after every 10 minutes or so while presenting a TV or Radio program they take a short break then why couldn’t I??? But why didn’t I write in my blog all these days is a question for me too. Maybe I am trying to answer myself by writing this blogpost.
When you think of the best places to visit in one of the world’s ancient cities – Varanasi, you cannot miss a name i.e. Ramnagar Fort. This is one of the must see places in the city, that’s is based on the bank of river Ganga in Uttar Pradesh.
This was the first time when we had an outing with our juniors. Last year, we went on several small trips with our seniors. But due to our new time table or due to indifference towards it from many of us, we never got an opportunity to have this experience with our juniors before this time.
