BHU faculty fest Sanskriti
Last week of this month started with Sanskriti and ended too with Sanskriti for us. On Monday, 18th of Jan, I came to the university with a passionate kind of feeling. Actually, I was going to participate in Sanskriti, the Intra-faculty youth fest of Arts Faculty, BHU.
This time, I was going to rock the stage with a mimicry performance. I didn’t do much practice. I just conceptualized clearly my performance piece. Practice is very important for perfection, but there was no need to put so much effort this time. That was because I keep giving these stand up performances, occasionally or ‘un’-occasionally, to entertain my friends.
It’s Sanskriti time
After all, lion or tiger doesn’t practice to roar, but this is nature’s gift to them. Jocks apart. I went there and just performed with all my whole heart, and got, really, nice response from the audience. They would declare the result next day.
Then, next day, I attended classes as usually, and was wandering in the department. Suddenly, my juniors, mostly girls, came to me and said… sir congratulations… sir congratulations… sir congratulations… I replied, thanks… thanks… thanks… I asked them, why they were congratulating me.

Further, expressing their surprise they said, don’t you know, you have secured second place in Sanskriti, and made it for Spandan. They had read that in newspapers. For getting selected for Spandan, the inter-faculty youth fest of the University, you have to secure first or second place in Sanskriti. That was the criterion .
Any ways, Spandan, the youth event, was set to be held in the first week of February, 2010. Moreover, my juniors also informed me about the date of Sanskriti shields and certificates distribution. And that was next day, last day of the week. So, what was next???
Further, the next day, I reached the venue at the right time and just got it. After all said, nothing more seems required to write about this week.
What happened to my selection for Spandan?
to be continued…
