Natural calamities in world
Pandemics, epidemics, infectious deceases, floods, droughts, tropical cyclones, forest fires and excessive weather conditions. These are nature’s gift for human in complete package. Is it a coincident that all these calamities, with power to shatter humanity, have come into existence together?
It’s certainly not. But this is reaction to constant human’s attempt to change and or destroy core of the nature. It’s a message from nature to the human community. “You have played with me for centuries and now it’s my turn to play with you. So, be ready for that”.
Natural calamities in world
This may seem more of philosophical but it is rather factual if you follow the recent history of humankind. We messed with the nature by using extreme technologies on it. During 2008 Olympics, Beijing fired a barrage of 1,110 rockets into the sky to remove clouds. It was just to stop the expected rain and keep opening-ceremony dry. And the country got acclamation from all sides of the world to get this done successfully.
Not only that, China has worked on this in its Weather Modification Office for decades. It used severe technologies many times to stop or invite rains at any place, any day for convenience and requirements. China kept claiming, this was not going to affect environment in any way. However, for a past few years the country is facing extreme weather conditions.
People in China are paying cost by losing their lives, health or houses to one or other calamity, either natural or human-made. On the one hand the country saw a number of epidemics, pandemics or transferable deceases, including the disastrous Covid19. On the other hand almost half the China is under the threat of flood and half is facing severe drought. However, China is not the only country which has tried to deceive the nature by using its technology.
Go into the history
If we go a little more into the history, the super power America also used such weather changing techniques to win the Vietnam War during 1967-1972. Through a highly classified cloud seeding programme, called Operation Popeye, the US intended to disrupt North Vietnamese military supplies by extending monsoon season in particular areas of Ho Chi Minh Trail. According to recent reports of the International Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), Vietnam is in the list of the most vulnerable nations to climate change impacts.
Now, China has been accused by the world of making the fatal Coronavirus in the Wuhan lab as a biological weapon, intending to destroy humans across the world. According to reports from many agencies in the world, China has been researching on such disastrous viruses in its lab for a long time. These are a few examples how human has become so ambitious that it has begun to destroy the same nature which it itself is an integral part of.
Human played, it’s nature’s turn
Vast level of deforestation for urbanization and construction, immense pollution from industries and vehicles, massive pollution in rivers that are main source of life, and inhuman acts with animals. These are other examples of inviting the nature’s wrath in shape of such calamities. These natural calamities are just the outcome and reaction of human’s challenge to the nature. Once easily available, clean air to breathe and clean water to drink are now far dreams for humans on earth.
Finally, it’s scientifically proven that human who caused the climate change. Unsurprisingly, these stories of human’s play with the nature are tip of the iceberg. If world still don’t wake up after experiencing severe outcomes of Coronavirus outbreak, it will have to lose much more. And that too in coming future when the great nature starts giving more responses. Human’s play with nature may be an easy task, nature’s play in return will be a gone game for human.
