Lucknow travel and road walk
Walking on the roads of any city provides you an unparalleled experiences. So, my walk on the roads of this city must be unique in many ways. I cannot list out that uniqueness. You also will not want to read out a list but the experience which was unique. When I thought of hitting the roads of the city of Nawabs, I wanted to walk some nature spots and oldest markets of Lucknow.
Janeshwar Mishra Park is comparatively new, big and well-maintained garden of Lucknow. My morning walk was just perfect one amidst immense nature in and around the park. This is more than enough to mesmerize you just when you step in its premises. As I stepped down the wide stairs from the gate, I was so excited with the fun walk that I never wanted to stop at any point. My walk continued at this uncrowded spot, full of birds and flowers. So, just continued my walk with the nature until the next gate to exit.
Lucknow travel and road walk
It was afternoon, sun was on the head but rush at one of the oldest market of Lucknow was no less then enough. Walking on the roads on Aminabad Market does wonder in a few ways. All at once I found myself lost in some beautiful handicraft hanging on a string outside a shop. However, I managed to regain my senses and walked a few steps ahead. Suddenly, I stopped again at a shop to drink a ravishing glass of cold lassi to quench my thirst.
When the sun was about to set, another oldest and most famous markets was so much full of people. You need to care for your steps so that you don’t hit someone walking or shopping close to you. Evening walk in Hazratganj market can never be called an easy one. Street vendors of cheap and best clothing are most favorite for shoppers. That’s why some times we, as walkers, find ourselves stuck between some buyer and seller at the street.
More of Lucknow walk
Just before the night as I stepped down the stairs of the huge gate, the glittering of decorative lights and airing of melodious music gave an impression of a high profile party. As moved ahead and took close look of river, I realized again, this was Gomti Riverfront Park. I could not stop myself taking a full round – left, right and center – around the bank of the riverfront. Birds and flowers contributed their best to make the view more enthralling. Everyone was lost into the dramatic and romantic glamour created by light and sound amidst the natural beauty of river Gomti.
This is not all but a little of my experience during visit in the city. There is a lot to see and experience in the city of Nawabs. Without a look at the old Lucknow areas, including Husainabad, your journey to the state capital of Utter Pradesh, is never complete. However in this write-up, I wanted to share only about a few of my walks on Lucknow roads around nature and market, during various times in day and night.
At anytime when you are out on the roads of Lucknow, some person, some architecture, some handicraft, some food, some drink, some animal, some bird, some land, some sky, or some river catches your eyes, suddenly. And you find yourself lost in that creature or creation. You may argue that this can happen in any city of any country in any part of the world. But I tell you, as we are in Lucknow right now, we should say this for this city only.
