How to make a travel video?
Hey guys, what’s up! How are you doing today? I’m going to show you how to make travel videos. You can do it in several different styles. And today, I will tell you how you can do it in those different styles, and what equipment and resources you will require for that.

So, coming to the point, how to make a travel video?
Just travel – near or far
First of all, to make travel videos, you have to travel to a destination. The destination may be not very far from your home – it could be in your hometown. Or may be it’s far from your city, your state or your country.
Smartphone camera
You have to make travel videos, so, you must have your equipment – your camera. If you don’t have any camera or a particular camera you want, you don’t need it actually. Your smartphone camera has all the hacks you need and can use. These days, it is much better than other cameras to make travel videos. So, let’s take a smartphone and just travel.
Styles
So, now you can make your travel videos in many different styles, as I said earlier. I will be sharing main three styles here, in which you can make your travel video.
1. Cinematic travel video
The first one is a cinematic travel film. To make a cinematic travel movie, you have to take some cinematic shots of the destination, where you can shoot even yourself. Or maybe, just shoot different people and the location with different camera angles.
You have to take some long shots, some mid shots and some close shots to make a cinematic videos. Try to take stable shots at 60 and 120 frame-rates to make a slo-mo video because it gives more cinematic effect and visual candy to the viewer.
After that you will have to edit it in editing software, by rearranging all these shots to tell a story. And then with adding music, you can make a musical travel videos. So, you will have to add some music – some flavour – to make it more cinematic musical travel movie. However, don’t use many transitions, use just a few ones, because if you use many transitions, it will not look very cinematic.
2. Travel vlog
The second style you can do your video in is vlogging style or video blogging. To make it in a vlogging style or a travel vlog, wherever you go, you have to show what you are doing and what you are experiencing. You have to tell your viewers – this is the kind of place, I want to travel or this is my experience at this place.
So that they can feel by your experience and make their mind to go there or just enjoy your videos like that. In this style, you can use some in-camera traditions – like closing and opening camera by hand.
3. Travel documentary
The third style in which you can do your travel videos is documentary style. Wherever you go, you can make a documentary-style travel film or a docu travel film of that place. You can tell about that place by facing the camera and with a voiceover in the background.
Also, add a flavor of some background music. You can tell about what the place is about and what your experience was there. So, you can make it a docu travel film.
So, these were the three hacks and ways to make travel videos. Just travel with your smartphone camera or any other camera, whatever you have, and edit your movie and upload it wherever you want.
