Different perspectives of life
We all have our own lens to see a reality in the clarity defined by light and shade of our own perspective. Many times, you are quite sure about opinion on some issue. And you don’t move even an inch from your point. And you are also very sure that the other person, who is strongly and openly opposing your opinion is, on the wrong side.
On the other hand, other person is also totally sure that his/her opinion is the right one. And your point is totally wrong in their eyes. This happens occasionally or frequently between friends, colleagues, couples, siblings, or neighbors. Or maybe, among participants in a gathering, meetings, events or one-to-one meet ups, as the case may be.
Different perspectives of life
The issue could be personal, professional, corporate, financial, political or general knowledge. The main point is views are different and contrasting. And the parties are not even a little flexible to move from their stand. There enters a third person in the conversation. He/she reveals that you both are right in some ways and no one’s view is actually wrong.
The place, from where this third party is looking at the issue, shows another reality. That is, in someway both of you are having valid points, and no point can be negated. Also he/she tells that both the points together complete the big picture. This person is being objective, and analyzing the pros and corns of the matter. And then, they are explaining it without taking any side. However, the first and second person were both correct but they were subjective and rigid about their stand.
Every view may be correct
The point is, whatsoever is matter, each view may be correct, viewing from the places the viewers are standing at. Perspectives of people may differ but are not wrong either. It’s just their lens to view the reality are different. However, we need to analyze pros and corns of things before taking a stand. We must try to be more productive, creative and supportive with our counterparts, by respecting their views too.
