Delhi to Jaipur Tour
This was an official tour to a Jaipur resort, so I cannot call it exactly a Jaipur tour. We did not visit Jaipur travel places but stayed in this resort for two days and two nights. We could just participate and enjoy various activities and games, but only inside the hotel.
In an early morning of April, 2016, we reached our Delhi office, having travel bag on our shoulders. Near the office, were waiting the buses, which we boarded and took our seats. After a few moments when everyone was in, our buses headed towards the state of Rajasthan from the roads of Delhi.

In the buses, packed edibles were available with drinks, liquor for drinkers and cold drinks for non-drinkers like me. As the buses hit the road, loud singing session started among us. As we moved ahead, everybody, drinkers and non-drinkers both, became in full mood. It was a fun moment for everyone after a long time.
We stopped at a highway dhaba (roadside eatery) for lunch and, also spent some time in open air before getting in the buses again. It was afternoon when we entered the city of Jaipur. The main road was jammed with traffic, thus the driver took a narrow, village road to cover the remaining distance from the resort. The weather was hot, so travel was not so easy.
To cross this narrow road was more difficult for a bus but finally we were out of that and soon saw the resort in front of us. We were welcomed by the hotel staff in a traditional Rajasthani way with flowers and sharbat (country-made cold drink). We, finally, signed in our rooms and had a bath.
A visit to Pink City
We got ready for a big official meeting, reached that big conference hall and took our seats to hear the company’s performance report, achievements till date and goals for coming future. After the conference, we went back to our rooms to have some rest before getting ready for the evening events.
We came back to the big lawn area in evening and had a look of the resort. After sunset, as the sky got black, the area was glittering with electrical decorative lights. Stage was ready for the people who wanted to use it to show their talents.While drinkers were full with their quota, everyone was ready to watch the show in their seats as audience.
Also, the best performers in all the departments were awarded for their contributions to the company. Beside, some music, dance, drama and comedy performances were given by the employees on the stage during that two hours of event. Then, people moved towards buffet area of the lawn for dinner before going to their rooms for a sleep after a totally exhausting day.
The musical night
The next morning, I went to the dinning area for breakfast. Subsequently, I visited the play ground where some players of our company were having a cricket match. Sooner, I went back to my room for a rest before going to dinning area at lunch time. After lunch, we were asked to participate in some teamwork exercises, activities and games.
That went on till evening and needed full energy, but was fun. After that we were free to go to our rooms and take rest till dinner time. We came back in the lawn to have dinner, after which saw the DJs doing their work in dancing area. We joined them soon and had a blast.
After draining myself on the dance floor for hours till midnight, I moved towards my room to sleep. The next morning after breakfast, we would be ready to get in the buses to move back to Delhi. The weather seemed to be hotter than the day we came here. It was tougher to sit on a window seat, exposed to sun until the bus moved.
This time, a journey without singing or shouting as we were all wearer out till then. We stopped at a dhaba again to have lunch. We, also, stayed sometime in open area before getting in the buses again to reach Delhi in few hours. The buses would leave us near office and we would take a conveyance to reach home.
